Like most young girls, I was enthralled with horses and read any book I could get my hands on to fulfill my desire to learn about these majestic creatures. As an adult I purchased my own horse and fulfilled a life long dream. I have now combined my passion for photography and horses always working to capture the spirit and soul of these sweet animals for their owners to cherish forever. I believe to truly reflect the relationship for horse and owner I believe that the photos must be taken in the horse's natural environment surrounded by those who love them with little to no interference from me the photographer. The relationship between a horse and owner is one that is so very unique but at the same time woven through the fabric of our great nation as horses helped build the country we now know. To capture the true essence of a horse I believe one must know horses in an intimate way, to realize the fragile balance of strength and power with the gentle nature and soul of these kindly giants. To know that this animal is so willing to give their heart and soul, while knowing that this relationship leads to their lose of freedom and the requirement that they bend to the will of another shows the true character and also becomes the greatest form of love these animals can give to their master.. As a horse owner myself I understand the hard work, time and committment that goes into developing the type of bond that develops between a horse and owner. I take this knowledge and work hard to capture this in the photo of you and your horse. The time taken to capture the moments and relationship is something you can cherish forever and can be the thread that connects you to your horse and those moments for years to come. I work to create photos that you can treasure forever bring back the emotions, dreams and memories long into the future. We all know the reality of life is that our companion and friend will not be with us forever, my wish is that the photos I take for you will help you through the inevitable and be a form of comfort for you after your horse has passed across the Rainbow Bridge and will be cherished until the day you can join your companion in those lovely green pastures. |
