I live near Minneapolis, Minnesota with my Fiancée, Tom, my Doberman pinscher, my 3 cats and my Arabian Gelding. I am a student at Upper Iowa University working on my Bachelor of Arts In Human Services as well as attending the New York Institute of Photography. I am always taking on-line photography courses as well as seminars throughout the year to refine my techniques and talent. While my focus is on Equine and Pet Portraiture I do not limit my education or photography to those areas. Different techniques and ideas from one type of photography easily transfer over to others for unique ideas and photographs for the client. I am also available for Family and individual portraiture photography. In addition to my photography business I am a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard. I feel that my experiences in the National Guard allow me to use my photography skills to supports my fellow soldiers and their families, as the soldier is about to deploy overseas. An organization called Operation Love: Reunited provides a free photo session and before deployment with the soldier and their families. The photos are then turned into a album and sent to the soldier overseas. This is provided to the soldier and their family at no cost. Upon the soldiers return from deployment the photographer captures the reunion moments to be cherished by the family forever. Please see my web page dedicated to this organization and their mission. I also do charity work in support of a non-profit organization called The Children’s Home Society, which provides assistance to struggling families and adoption services. EquipmentWhile the equipment does not make the photographer I do feel it is important that quality equipment is used when taking your photos. I currently use a Canon 40D. In addition, my main lenses are the Canon 70-200 F.2.8L and Canon 135 F1.2L.Thank you for Visiting ~ Saundra |
